Defensive Driving School Policy
Objective: To ensure the safety and compliance of all clients with the Jamaican Road Code Law while attending our defensive driving school.
- Eligibility and Documentation: a. All clients must possess a valid learners issued by the appropriate Jamaican authority. b. Clients must provide proof of identification and age (17 years or older) upon registration.
- Code of Conduct: a. Clients must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, courtesy, and respect towards instructors, staff, and fellow clients. b. Any form of disruptive or unsafe behavior, including aggressive driving, will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services.
- Compliance with Road Code Law: a. All clients must familiarize themselves with and comply with the Jamaican Road Code Law and regulations. b. Instructors will provide instruction and guidance based on the Jamaican Road Code Law, emphasizing safe and defensive driving techniques. c. Clients are responsible for understanding and following all traffic rules, signs, and signals during practical driving lessons.
- Safety Precautions: a. Clients must wear seatbelts at all times while driving or riding as a passenger. b. All vehicles used during practical lessons must be in safe operating condition, including functioning brakes, lights, and tires. c. Clients must abstain from the use of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that may impair their driving ability during lessons.
- Lesson Attendance and Cancellations: a. Clients are expected to attend scheduled lessons punctually. Late arrivals may result in reduced lesson time. b. Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for lesson cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so may result in a fee.
- Confidentiality and Privacy: a. Client information, including personal details, driving records, and progress reports, will be treated with strict confidentiality. b. Client information will only be shared with authorized personnel directly involved in providing the driving instruction.
- Liability and Insurance: a. Defensive Driving School and its instructors will not be held liable for any accidents, damages, or injuries that may occur during lessons. b. Clients are responsible for maintaining appropriate vehicle insurance coverage during practical driving lessons.
- Progress Evaluation: a. Instructors will regularly evaluate clients' progress and provide constructive feedback. b. Clients are encouraged to actively participate in their learning process, seeking clarification and asking questions when needed.
- Changes to Policies: a. Defensive Driving School reserves the right to modify or update the policies outlined above. Clients will be notified in advance of any changes.
By enrolling in our defensive driving school, clients acknowledge and agree to comply with the aforementioned policies and regulations. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in termination of services. Our primary focus is to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients while promoting responsible and defensive driving practices in accordance with the Jamaican Road Code Law.
